Tasting | Peterson AFB, Feb 16

Attention Colorado friends! If you would like a sample of our beer and haven’t yet been to a tasting, we will be pouring at the upcoming 13th Annual Homebrew Fest at Peterson Air Force Base on Friday, February 16th!

This event is hosted at the Peterson AFB Club and sponsored by Brew Brothers of Colorado Springs. The event runs from 5:30 to 10pm and entry is only twenty bucks, provided you can get onto Peterson AFB. In addition to Atomico, you can drink samples from some of Colorado Springs’ professional breweries, and from some of the other homebrewers who have entered the competition.

This is the competition that pretty much began the Atomico story — last year, in our first competition, we won a gold medal for BULLDOG, our English Brown Ale. Hopefully we’ll go home this year with even more hardware — but we really just want to share our beer with everyone at the fest!

We will be pouring a whopping NINE beers at this festival:

  • ESCORPION NEGRO – a traditional Belgian trippel, brewed with brown sugar and grapefruit
  • FOUR HORSEMEN – our pale ale with Centennial, Citra, Mt. Hood, and Amarillo hops
  • TROPICO – our double IPA – Citra, Motueka, and Calypso hops provide a tropical fruit pop
  • CLEVER BOY – our popular Belgian witbier
  • SANTIAGO – a hoppy red ale
  • BUCANERO – a Caribbean-style stout
  • MOONRACER – a traditional Scandinavian juleøl (holiday beer)
  • STAR OF MIDNIGHT – an American brown ale with ginger, star anise, and licorice root

And a very special appearance by BULLDOG, the English Brown Ale that won a gold medal at this competition last year!

As I mentioned earlier, you’re only going to be able to get into the festival if you can get onto Peterson Air Force Base. If you have any questions about the festival, you can check out the links below:
